Andrea R. White, M.D.

Dr. White is a native of Virginia. She attended the University of Virginia, where she was an Echols Scholar and graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Following college, she moved to Spain where she lived for nearly eight years and graduated from medical school at the Universidad de Oviedo Facultad de Medicina. She returned to the United States in 2001 and did an Internal Medicine residency through the University of Virginia/Roanoke-Salem program. She subsequently completed a two-year Geriatrics and Palliative Care fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, followed by a post-doctoral research year. She transitioned into private practice doing sub-acute rehabilitation medicine and hospice medical director work, followed by hospital work and outpatient practice through SeniorCare Geriatrics. She joined Internal Medicine Specialists in January of 2014 and has enjoyed returning to general internal medicine where she takes care of all age groups. Dr. White is married, has two children and two dogs. She loves animals, enjoys the mountains and the ocean, and likes to garden and cook. She is bilingual in English and Spanish.
